Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band, whose members include Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson, Georg “Goggi” Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason. The band has been active since 1994, and is known for their ethereal sound, often featuring falsetto vocals, with classical and minimalist elements. With seven studio albums under their belt, the seasoned musicians have also found time to tour the globe extensively, and to create music for TV shows, including The Simpsons.
