Alison Mosshart is an American musician and visual artist, based in London and Nashville. She is perhaps best known as one half of blues rock duo The Kills, which she founded together with Jamie Hince in 2002. She’s also one of the original members of rock supergroup The Dead Weather, along with fellow Project 8 maker Jack White, and Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs. Mosshart’s multidisciplinary, experimental approach has led her from early days of skateboarding to music, photography, modeling and painting, receiving acclaim for her work in every field. She made her solo debut as a painter at the Joseph Gross Gallery in New York last year.
